Description
We are currently seeking a Lead Architect for the Service Platform Shared Services R&D organization focusing on Web scripting and Web Technologies. If you're the person we're looking for, you will participate in and lead the development, functional specification, and design of the Web Runtime application. You'll also work closely with team members and management to ensure that business strategic objectives are met and we produce delightful end user experiences. As Lead Architect you will collaborate very closely with several Client Platforms teams and help to define test plans and documentation in conjunction with QA analysts. In addition, you will actually lead the development (coding) of the 'super applications' on top of Client Platforms.
Qualifications
To qualify for this role you have about 10 years of relevant internet service development experience including key architectural responsibilities and a proven track record of significant individual contributions to web technologies. Your portfolio should also include in-depth experience in designing, implementing and optimizing user interface toolkits and advanced graphics applications. You are also experienced in designing and implementing social media and location-based services - on both server and client sides. A seasoned programmer and recognized specialist, you have a deep understanding of various languages and technologies and you are capable of quickly proving your designs through practical implementation and demonstration.
Your ability to translate both long-term and short-term goals into technical teams via software architecture is highly appreciated. Your keys to success include hands-on experience in working with and designing multiple implementations of layers in the TCP/IP stack and experience in creating and integrating with SOAP/REST -based web services. What's more, you are familiar with different protocol formats and have deep experience in application and data caching techniques. On top of this, you have an excellent understanding of Agile development methods, particularly SCRUM and Test Driven Development, and a proven ability to work in distributed teams. Excellent verbal and written English communications skills are essential in our multicultural organization.
