Vacancy Overview

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this Software Developer position will have responsibility for the delivery of software projects on an individual basis and as part of a development team.

Overview of the responsibilities of the Software Developer:

* Delivery of software development projects both as stand-alone and as a team member of internal and outsourced development teams

* Development of embedded applications (Windows XP Embedded) that utilise GIS related plug-ins (including vehicle navigation and route optimisation)

* Develop and deliver project updates to senior management

* Other ad hoc duties as required

Candidate Profile

Background

* Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

* Experience in the development of Software projects from concept stage through to released product

Technical Knowledge

* Minimum of 3 years experience developing applications in C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server

* Experience of developing applications for embedded versions of Windows (XP, Mobile)
